Information for Corporations & Foundations
Mission Statement
The Office of Corporate & Foundation Relations (CFR) is responsible for managing
and coordinating non-contractual, non-governmental philanthropic grants and
relationships with corporations, foundations, and other organizations. CFR works
closely with deans, other senior officers, and the college development officers
to identify priority projects and to match them with the interests of local,
regional and national organizations.
The goal of the office is to strengthen ties between the University and
corporations and foundations as a means of raising funds to improve the physical
and academic health of the institution. The office accomplishes this goal by
identifying top funding prospects, developing specific cultivation approaches,
submitting carefully designed proposals, and implementing appropriate
stewardship strategies. CFR operates as a campus clearinghouse so that our
fundraising contacts with corporations, foundations and other philanthropic
organizations are strategic, coordinated, and designed to yield the best results
for Central Michigan University.
