| President's Circle

CMU’s President’s Circle recognizes the contributions of our many alumni, parents and friends who support the university’s tradition of academic excellence with gifts of $500 or more annually. These members have generously supported specific student scholarships, academic programs, applied faulty research and creative activity, and important on-going programs such as facilities and technology initiatives.

The investments by our President’s Circle members allow CMU to take its next steps into the future. Your gifts help us promote research and scholarship and raise academic standards to create greater opportunities for our students, faculty, and communities.

Giving Levels
Five distinct recognition levels identify and thank members of the President’s Circle. These are named in honor of distinguished past presidents of Central Michigan University.

As a member of the President’s Circle, you will be among the university’s largest and most visible group of donors. Members receive “Member Update,” the President’s Circle newsletter, invitations to members-only events, and recognition in the Honor Roll of Donors.

$1,000-$2,499 annually

Membership is based upon gifts made during the fiscal year July 1 through June 30. Matching gifts and gifts-in-kind are included in gift totals.

Gifts to Central Michigan University qualify as charitable contributions to higher education. The federal government permits a deduction for individuals who itemize on tax returns, and the state of Michigan allows tax credit to residents and corporations. For specific information on tax benefits, please consult your tax adviser.
