A message to the CMU community

Why is it important to give to the Annual University Campaign? Here is some insight from our 2007 co-chairs Tony Voisin and John Nichol:

“The Annual University Campaign gives us an excellent opportunity to invest our money in programs that are dear to us. We will be able to see and feel the benefit as our contributions directly enhance the community we live in. Compound interest has been called the 8th wonder of the world. Through the building of endowments over time, wonderful things will be accomplished. It is difficult to look out into the future, but money properly directed at this time will bring great benefit. We can be a part of this positive force and process. There are students with immense potential that are in need of financial assistance. Scholarship and endowment money can make a huge difference in their lives!” -- John Nichol

"Making a contribution to the Annual Campaign allows me to personally support university programs that are of interest to my family and me. In these times of shrinking financial resources I know that through my contributions, I have an opportunity to provide resources to departments and projects that certainly can benefit from my gift. The campaign gives me a chance to give to areas that I feel are important to myself and the campus community. I know that my contributions do make a difference and are certainly appreciated." -- Tony Voisin

All University Campaign important information:

• The Campaign takes place October 15th through December 7th
• Again this year, the University will match your generous gifts and pledges with $1 for every $2 donated
• The goal this year is $600,000. Last year over $565,000 was donated to the campaign.
