At Central Michigan University, construction on an expanded Kelly/Shorts Stadium and an indoor athletic complex has significantly enhanced Chippewa athletic programs.

You can be part of this Central Michigan expansion effort. For a small gift, Chippewa alumni, fans and friends may sponsor bricks that form the building blocks of a successful Chippewa program and continue to help make this project a reality. These bricks, which come in three sizes, are arranged in a plaza at the entrance to the stadium. The funds raised in the sale of the bricks form the financial foundation of a facility that offers CMU athletes opportunities to improve both academically and athletically.

Expanding Athletic Facilities
Additions to Central Michigan University's athletic complex have resulted in an expanded stadium and a new indoor complex.

Kelly/Shorts Stadium has expanded from 20,086 seats to 30,000 seats, and new restroom, concession and merchandise areas have been constructed. In addition, a new press box, club level seating and private suites increase fan-seating options.

The indoor athletic complex is located between the stadium and the Student Activity Center. The 160,000-square-foot complex provides space for programs that enhance student-athletes both academically and athletically. The center includes:

indoor track and turf facilities
a weight training center
training rooms
computer center
study space
rooms for academic advising
tutoring and meetings

Ordering Your Personalized Brick

You will receive a confirmation letter and commemorative certificate within one month of receipt of your order. Please review your personalized message carefully. If you do not receive confirmation or if a correction is necessary, you may call (989) 774-6680.

Because of the quantity of bricks within the plaza and the bricklaying process, the Athletic Department cannot honor requests to place your brick(s) next to those purchased by friends or relatives.

Three brick sizes are available, and messages must fit within the spaces provided. Details are on the attached enrollment form.

All messages will be imprinted in a standard font, size and style. Messages will be centered and may not be justified to the right or the left. The use of upper and lower case letters is permitted. Custom styles and fonts, including bold and italic, are not permitted. Greek letters and other symbols not found on a standard keyboard may not be used.

Personalized bricks of any size may include the Central Michigan University athletic logo -- the "action C." If the logo is selected, it will be centered on the bottom line of the brick; no additional text may be included on that line.
